Service for those serving our country

Returning Warrior and Family Assistance Program
Multiple and extended deployments are serious challenges to service members and their families. These challenges often lead to psychological and emotional issues such as combat stress reaction, depression, and anxiety, all of which require assistance.  In April 2008, A RAND study entitled “Invisible Wounds of War” estimated that as many as 620,000 returning veterans may be at risk for developing posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and/or traumatic brain injuries (TBI). The Returning Warrior and Family Assistance Program, a ValueOptions® outreach and technology-based approach, helps returning National Guard and Reservists, their family members and employers with problems or issues that may adversely impact their health, well-being and work performance. We provide innovative outreach, online coaching, self assessment tools and telephonic support to help returning warriors and families access appropriate and timely information, counseling and therapy.
