We have assembled a variety of tools to help you tailor your tactics to meet your population’s needs. As part of our standard outreach to educate employees and family members about the EAP, we plan to use our existing communication vehicles. These tools are available to you at no charge.

You can expect to see information that promotes a tobacco-free lifestyle in:

  • Solutions newsletter, electronic and print versions
  • Solutions for Managers newsletter
  • Achieve Solutions Web site: The Achieve Solutions’ library of information is available to your employees and family members throughout the year.

The materials identified here are those you may consider making available to your employees and supervisors as part of your communication strategy.

On-site trainings

ValueOptions offers a variety of on-site training programs, with a typical duration of 60 to 90 minutes. The following are some of the more pertinent trainings you might sponsor. Please contact your ValueOptions account representative for more information, to arrange an on-site training or to see the complete training catalog.

  • Managing Change: Changing a behavior is a process, not a single event; it occurs through defined stages. Whether they are considering changing a bad habit, an addiction (e.g., tobacco, alcohol, gambling) or lifestyle (e.g., divorcing, changing jobs, exercising, eating healthfully), attendees at this workshop will gain insight into the process of change and receive step-by-step instructions for making healthy, informed and responsible changes.
  • Quitting Smoking: Participants will gain an understanding of the biological, psychological and social factors associated with addiction to tobacco. Current treatment and prevention strategies will be reviewed and other helpful resources identified.
