Communication tools have been plotted across a one-year time period to help support your employees in working their way through the stages of behavior change—from precontemplation to maintenance. The campaign kicks off with education on the causes of weight gain, benefits of weight loss and how to lead a healthy lifestyle; this fuels the contemplation stage of behavior change and helps build a workplace community/environment of support. The campaign continues to help employees commit to change, take action and maintain their plan as the year progresses. Monthly themes tie in with national observances or seasonal issues as appropriate for relevancy and additional momentum.
Use this as a starting point to design a communication implementation plan for your workforce. Also consider rolling in some ideas from the low-cost tips document provided on the CD in order to enhance the impact of communications with workplace activities and support.
