Note: This sample timeline assumes that the workforce has received an orientation to the EAP and its services. (If not, please contact your ValueOptions account executive to schedule trainings for the general employee population as well as supervisors.)
Communication tools have been plotted across a one-year time period to help support your employees in working their way through the different problems faced by members of a multigenerational workforce. The campaign kicks off with awareness of working and managing different generations in the workplace. The campaign continues to help employees handle issues that may impact their personal and professional lives. Monthly themes tie in with national observances as appropriate for relevancy and additional momentum. Use this as a starting point to design a communication implementation plan for your workforce.
“Engaging the Multigenerational Workforce” is one in a series of prevention initiatives developed by ValueOptions. The others are: “A Workplace Strategy for Suicide Prevention: Reaching Out to Troubled Employees,” “Healthy Lifestyles/Healthy Weight: A Strategy for the Workplace,” “Domestic Violence: Prevention at Work” and “Quittin’ Time: Helping Employees Become Tobacco-free.”
