 Overview

The evolution of the Kansas substance abuse system is to build greater efficiencies and quality-driven care. In 2007, the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) selected ValueOptions, a privately-held managed behavioral health care company, to oversee the delivery of substance abuse services to members eligible through Medicaid (T-XIX) and the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment (SAPT) Block Grant.

As of July 1, 2007, ValueOptions of Kansas began administering the state’s Substance Abuse Prepaid Inpatient Health Plan (SA-PIHP), managing the provider network and working to ensure services are easily accessible, effective and culturally-relevant for individuals and families in need of substance abuse treatment.

For years, our clients have trusted ValueOptions to provide their beneficiaries with quality, attentive behavioral healthcare and treatment.  ValueOptions shares the state’s vision for a comprehensive substance abuse program that enhances the quality of life for Kansas residents.
