ValueOptions^®, Inc., Announces Appointment of Ron Lyon as Vice President, Pharmacy Programs

Norfolk, Virginia — SEPTEMBER 8, 2008

ValueOptions^®, Inc., the nation's largest independent behavioral health care provider, announced today that Ron Lyon has recently joined the company as Vice President, Pharmacy Programs.

In his new role, Lyon will work closely with leadership across all service centers to expand existing pharmacy programs, implement new pharmacy program offerings and support the company’s product development initiatives.

Lyon comes to ValueOptions^® with more than 25 years of experience in the health care and pharmaceutical industries. His key accomplishments include the development of health care technology solutions and business intelligence tools to identify gaps in patient care, deliver improved drug therapies and minimize increases in prescription drug costs.

He previously served as Vice President of Commercialized Informatics for Matria Healthcare where he was responsible for developing new lines of business using integrated health care data. Before that, Lyon held numerous leadership positions with Towers Perrin, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield (formerly Trigon Blue Cross Blue Shield) and Pharmaceutical Care Network.

Lyon graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Florida in Gainesville and went on to receive his Master’s in Pharmacy Practice from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Lyon is the author of numerous articles on managed care and pharmaceutical topics.
