NetworkConnect IT Application Enhances Provider Network Management Operations

In its continuing commitment to technological modernization that aids service delivery, ValueOptions has deployed NetworkConnect. This integrated software solution enhances and streamlines the daily administration and management functions that support ValueOptions’ national provider network of more than 75,000 practitioner locations.

Part of the ValueOptions CONNECTIONS suite of integrated IT applications, NetworkConnect supports internal users responsible for all contracting, credentialing, provider relations, and network operations administrative processes. The system serves as a central repository for all provider information, delivering real-time support for claims processing, provider referrals and call center operations.

“NetworkConnect improves the overall experience for our internal users with an easy-to-use interface and integrated, real-time access to needed processing functionality,” said Bob Esposito, ValueOptions’ chief information officer. “This enhancement in capabilities directly translates into reductions in data entry error, call center volume, and paper in the enterprise, as well as a reduced administrative burden on our provider partners.”

As a testament to the deployment’s success, ValueOptions recently completed a comprehensive review of its provider network and validated the accuracy of the information contained in its provider files. An independent auditing firm confirmed the accuracy of the provider file database, and verified that ValueOptions is maintaining a greater than 95 percent accuracy rate on key demographic and referral information.

“NetworkConnect is quickly demonstrating its value in our daily administrative practices,” said Deb Adler, executive vice president of provider network operations for ValueOptions. “In essence, NetworkConnect supports the integrity of ValueOptions’ provider network in an efficient, cost-effective manner. Further, by automating many of the functions that support our daily work processes, we are not only improving our own internal operations, but we are allowing our provider partners to focus more time on what is really important—providing the best possible care to our membership.”
