ValueOptions supports providers in their use of proven therapeutic approaches in their treatment of our members. We have begun the work of reviewing the research evidence for specific therapies and offer information for providers about Evidence Based Practices. ValueOptions will expand this summary table over time and continue to offer this information as a service to our providers.
ValueOptions has adopted a number of Treatment Guidelines developed by professional organizations such as the American Psychiatric Association. Some of these guidelines are very long, making it difficult for providers to access and use these guidelines in their everyday work with their patients. To remedy this, ValueOptions has begun to develop summaries of some of these longer guidelines.
